Move over Martha Stewart

The day before Thanksgiving was busy. The kids didn't have school so I had them working hard preparing most of the Thanksgiving dinner. They love to be in the kitchen and we have lots of fun cooking and baking.

Taylor loves to bake. She made a cherry pie, pumpkin pie, and sugar cookies.

Tanealya helped decorate the cookies,

Riley mixed the frog salad,
Aiden tore the bread for the dressing.

On Thanksgiving day we went over to Tim and Sabrina's for dessert. Taylor even made another pie, pumpkin cheese cake pie. It was really good.

The kids love it when Uncle Aaron comes home. They love to play games with him.
Aiden looks on while Aaron and Riley play a game.

Our Thanksgiving was great.
Hope Everyone else had a great day.

Happy Birthday

Our Baby Is Another Year Older.

Tavein turned 25 November 8th. Her friends got together and gave her a surprise party. Dad and I took her out to Macaroni Grill. One of the waiters sang Happy Birthday to her in Italian. She is doing great at the Academy. We are so proud of what she has accomplished.

Happy Birthday Tavein.

On November 2nd Taylor turned 14.
We all gathered at her house for some cake
and ice cream and to wish her a Happy Birthday.
Dad and Aiden prepare the cake.

Dad lights the candles on the cake while the boys look on.

It is so hard to believe Taylor is 14 already.
Time sure goes by quickly it just seems like
yesterday that Sabrina and Tim brought her home.
Ice cream is always good with cake. Sabrina was
dishing up the ice cream for the plates of cake when
Aiden decided he needed a sample. As you can see
he just leaned forward and took a lick.
Taylor's family watches as she opens her cards.
This one was a singing card.

Tanealya looks on as Taylor reads more cards.

Aiden is reading a card to Taylor.

Riley looks on.

This really is a present. Taylor is getting Ugs (very comfortable shoes) in the mail.
Of course it wouldn't be a birthday without "Tater" written on her sweats.

Mom and daughter moment.

Halloween Night

Cobwebs are hung (I hang cobwebs all over the house. The kids love it and all Aiden could say was WOW.)

and the night is all lite up.

The kids and I gather at the house around 4:00 to prepare dinner and have some fun. The menu for the night was Devilish pizzas, bat wings, ghoulish vegetables, vampire blood punch, garlic knot bread, but best of all for desert we had dirt cups, spiders, carmel apples and witches hats. YUM! These are the kids creations. They did a great job.

Aiden loved making the carmel apples.

Riley made the punch. We used dry ice and Aiden loved the effect.

Aiden was Thomas the Train

Riley was a soldier.

Taylor was a football player

and Tanealya was a witch.

Tavein joined us for a group picture.

Bobbing for apple was fun. Every one managed to get one with their mouth except Aiden. He figured it was easier to just reach in a pull on out with your hand.

Next came the marshmallow race. They had a great time with this. Riley was the first one to get it in his mouth. But Taylor won because the object is to eat it off the string before anyone else.
Sabrina and Tim arrived after the games. Dinner was great and Aiden had a ball giving out candy to all the Trick or Treaters We even made it through the night without Aiden throwing up. That's a mile stone.
Hope everyone has as much fun last night as we did.
