Taylor's 15th Birthday Cake

The top and bottom of this cake is triple chocolate. The middle layer is fresh strawberry filling that tastes like strawberry juluis. The frosting is butter cream on the chocolate cakes and strawberry butter cream on the white cake.

Happy Birthday Taylor

First Taylor and her family celebrated her 15th birthday.

Then Taylor celebrated with her friend Bri. They had a bowling
party with their friends. Kind of a cross city party because Taylor
goes to CMR and Bri goes to GFH. The girls have been best friends
since they were 4 years old. Their friendship has stayed strong even
though they have attended different schools since the fourth grade.
Taylor's birthday is on the 2nd and Bri's is on the 10th so they
have decided that they will celebrate all their birthdays from
now on together. Happy Birthday Tay and Bri.

Everything on the cake is eatable. The tree is made from modeling chocolate (Melted chocolate mixed with carol syrup). Everything else is fondant.

A Day at the Pumpkin Patch

We started off our day with the best pumpkin doughnuts.
Then we headed for the pumpkin patch. Once there we played
on the hay maze...

Jumped on a large pile of hay....

Checked out the animals...

And (what we do best thanks to all of mom's training)
poised for lots of pictures.

Marcus even found a ball to play with.

Marcus and the Pumpkins

While mom and sister's visited the bathroom Marcus found
all kinds of pumpkins. He also found lots of things that you
can do with a pumpkin. You can stack them, hold them,
use them as a drum and even ride them.

Searching in the Pumkin Patch

Off to the pumpkin patch we go to find the perfect pumpkin.

Mommy and Papa help look for the right size.

Emma is looking for the littlest pumpkin.

Mommy tries to help.

Emma finally finds her pumpkin back at the farmer's house.

Olivia knows how to pick a pumpkin. She gets right down to business

so she can have some rest time while the others continue to search.

Marcus gets some help from papa. They are looking for the
biggest pumpkin in the patch.

Dancing to "Thriller"

Tavein and Michael Jackson's "Thriller"

People get together every year to dance the Thriller. They all dance at the same time. It is recorded and sent in someplace so they can be part of making the Genuis Book of Record. Tavein participated this year.
They started dancing at 4:30 and finished at 7:00. It was lots of fun to watch her.

December 12th Wedding Cake

After talking with the Bride this is the sketch of the cake I have designed for her. The Cake will be an Ivory color with white and coral accents. The bride wanted their letters to be on top of the cake but these would have to be ordered and $89.00 for each letter was a bit out of their price range. She decided to go with ribbon coming out of the flower arrangement that will be on top of the cake. As you can see I have designed a cake with their initials on top. I like to surprise my client with something special and this is it. I will make the letters out of porcelain clay for her. I can not wait to see what the actual cake looks like. The cake will be a lemon flavored cake with lemon mouse filling.

Batman Cake

Every cake seems to have a story behind them. This one is no different. I got a call from the father asking if I could make a dairy, egg free cake. His little boy is turning 4 and never has had a birthday cake because of his allergies. Well this year he will. This cake is called a depression cake. It is the recipe used during the depression when eggs and milk was scarce. The father is so excited that he called and said he went to the local party store and got all kinds of batman birthday decorations.
As you can tell the little boy loves batman. So the theme of the cake is all about batman. I can't wait to deliver this cake.
