Mickey and Mini Mouse Cake

This cake was done for Addison who turned 7 in April and her little brother Tate who will be 5 this month. Mom and dad had a surprise combined birthday for them. The theme? You guessed it, something that said Disneyland, because their present was going to be a trip to Disneyland. I chose Mickey and Mini Mouse. The hat is made with rice krispies and covered with fondant. Mickey and Mini are made with fondant.

EASTER 2010

On Friday Taylor, Riley and Aiden came over and dyed Easter eggs. Riley loved to write on his with wax, creating different designs. Taylor created very bright colored egges. Aiden, well, he loved to put the egges in the dye and then wait and wait and wait. Finally he would bring out a brightly colored egg. Aiden finished his dozen and wanted to know if he could have more. When told no, he just redyed the ones he had. Three time!!

Easter morning we gathered at our house for Brunch, Easter baskets, and then outside to gather the eggs Easter bunny had hiden.

Everyone had a great time running around the yard gathering eggs. This has become quite a tradition.

Don't the girls look so pretty in their dresses. And get a look at the boys. They are really sharp in their ties. The bunny in Aiden's hands is a close as we will ever get to a picture with the Easter Bunny until he gets over his fear of it. But we did get to have a duck in our picture.
Hope everyone had a great Easter.

Three Birthday Cakes

It amazes me how different people are. Each one has their own personality as these cake show.
STEVIE JEAN'S CAKE
This cake is for a twelve year old girl who loves everything 70's. Grandmother told me her favorite colors are yellow, orange, and lime green(the color is lime green. just a bad picture). Her motto is Peace, Love, Friends. I believe I covered all the bases.

FINLEY'S CAKE
This cake was for a little girl who is having her first birthday. Taylor babysits for them and says all the little girl wears is pink and lime green. The cake really looked like Finley.

CHUCK'S CAKE
This cake was for a gentleman who lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming. You guessed it. His daughter took it all the way to Cheyenne for his 80th birthday. As you can see she wanted it to be colorful and fun. Now she is trying to figure out a way to get a graduation cake to Washington D.C. for her daughter. She said she was willing to carry it on the plane if she had to.

Three different cakes for three very special people. But the one thing they all have in common is that these cakes are lemon flavored cakes with strawberry frosting. Lemon and strawberries seem to be the new flavor. It must be that we are all wishing for spring. All in All these cakes were fun to make.

ANNIVERSARY

41 YEARS AND STILL GOING!!

sweet love
deep love
everyday love
passionate love
forever love
our love

Today, 41 years ago, we said our "I Do's". This year we celebrated our Anniversary throughout the week. On Wednesday we went to the Broadway in Great Falls production of "Annie" and on Saturday we went to Joel Corda's new restaurant "The Breaks" for a great dinner. On the table were rose petals and lots of candles. They even treated us to raspberry cheese cake. Very romantic.

I wanted this to be as perfect as possible so I kind of took my time with it. This video comes with a warning that it might bring a tear to your eyes.

Cousins gather after the funeral.

Time for swimming. Everyone had a great time in the pool.

Tracie's kids keep calling our Taylor "Taylor Swift".

A TRIP TO THE BEACH before heading home.

A STOP AT THE SUPER MALL.
