Riley has reached the double didgets. He turned 10 today. He and Aiden came over to the house this morning and we went shopping at Amazing Toys for his birthday present and then we had lunch together. Tonight we celebrated with a birthday dinner at Boston Pizza and then went home to cake and presents. Riley's best gift was a new bike. Happy Birthday Aiden

Today Aiden turned 5. He had a cake that was shaped like a fire truck. His cake even had sparklers on it.

The kids played games outside. The water balloon toss turned into a water balloon fight. Aiden loved getting everyone wet. The best shot was his hitting Riley right in the face. Of course no picture.

Then on to the presents. Aiden loved opening his presents.

Then outside to hit the Pinata. He waited all week to do this.

Aiden had a great birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIDEN!!!

A Fireman Cake for Aiden

Aiden ordered a fire truck cake for his birthday. Aiden was so excited about his cake. He ordered triple fudge chocolate with butter cream filling. The fire truck is three layers of cake covered with fondant. It sits on a sheet cake. All the decorations are fondant. Taylor was a big help with this cake. She even made her first sculpture, the puppy.

Night at the Oscars

There is a fun story behind this cake. The lady this cake is for is turning 40 and she loves the Oscars. Her friends decided to give her a surprise party. A limo will arrive at her house tonight with a special dress she is to change into. Then she will be taken to the party. When she arrives there will be a red carpet to walk down complete with flashing cameras. Everyone will be dressed in tuxes and formal wear. There will even be Oscar presentations.

A Topsy Turvy Cake

This was such a fun cake to make. The little girl who the cake was made for watches "Cake Boss" and asked her mom if she could have a Topsy Turvy cake that had zebra stripes, feather, pink and white circles, as well as a black bow. This is the cake I made for Jade. The cake was a suprise and when I delivered it to her she was speechless. When I asked her if the cake was as good as "Cake Boss" she said that it was even better.

Three Birthday Cakes

It amazes me how different people are. Each one has their own personality as these cake show.
STEVIE JEAN'S CAKE
This cake is for a twelve year old girl who loves everything 70's. Grandmother told me her favorite colors are yellow, orange, and lime green(the color is lime green. just a bad picture). Her motto is Peace, Love, Friends. I believe I covered all the bases.

FINLEY'S CAKE
This cake was for a little girl who is having her first birthday. Taylor babysits for them and says all the little girl wears is pink and lime green. The cake really looked like Finley.

CHUCK'S CAKE
This cake was for a gentleman who lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming. You guessed it. His daughter took it all the way to Cheyenne for his 80th birthday. As you can see she wanted it to be colorful and fun. Now she is trying to figure out a way to get a graduation cake to Washington D.C. for her daughter. She said she was willing to carry it on the plane if she had to.

Three different cakes for three very special people. But the one thing they all have in common is that these cakes are lemon flavored cakes with strawberry frosting. Lemon and strawberries seem to be the new flavor. It must be that we are all wishing for spring. All in All these cakes were fun to make.
